Adventures in Paradise

Well, I made it to paradise and back. And I visited 4 airports in the process. We missed our 1st flight to Dallas, got on a later one, got bumped off our connecting flight to Houston, stayed in Dallas one night, had a steak, flew to Cozumel the next day, went to the beach, had a quesadilla, and a beer, stayed at a palapa guesthouse, and finally caught the boat. Yeah we missed the boat, literally. Anywho, it ended up being a great vacation, the weather was nice, we got pampered, and came back with a tan. And now it's raining. I guess that's why they say paradise lost...

Meanwhile, in my neck of the woods, Arnold is visiting Southern CA to fundraise in the hotel next door to my office, so we have teacher protesters clogging up the street. What's new in your neck of the woods?

Cruisin' to Belize

Yep, I'm headed out Saturday morning on my cruise to the Eastern Caribbean. I will be tanning and sunning myself while my office continues working. At least I'm living up to my New Year's Resolution of taking more vacations and eating more chocolate. I am soooo excited to go to Belize and Honduras. I'm sure Cozumel and Cancun will be beautiful too, but I have always wanted to go to Belize and I feel like this is my dream coming true. We are going to go cave-tubing in these crazy caves they have in Belize City. You float down a river in an innertube and it goes through the caves and there are these beautiful crystalline formations above you. And then we are going to do the jungle trek which includes a hike and sliding 600 ft. through the jungle canopy (18 ft up!) harnessed to a zipline. My mom is going to do the zipline, believe it or not.

Anyway, leave a comment if you want me to bring you back a postcard from one of these exotic locales and I'll scrounge up some pesos and snag you one. Peace out friends.
